Practice Times

FALL 2021 – CROSS COUNTRY PRACTICE TIMES

Competitions during the fall will be primarily on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Our primary workout days this season will be Monday, TuesdayThursday, and Saturday; athletes should absolutely avoid missing practice on these days. If there is a routine conflict with practice please try to schedule it for a Wednesday or a Friday if possible.

SCHEDULE ONCE SCHOOL BEGINS

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 

  • 4:45pm Locker Rooms Open;
  • 5:00pm Meet in the Athletic Quad Read to Run;
  • 6:30pm Practice Ends.

Tuesday, Thursday

  • 4:45pm Locker Rooms Open;
  • 5:00pm Meet in the Athletic Quad Read to Run;
  • 6:30pm Weight Lifting Begins;
  • 7:30pm Practice Ends.

Saturday

  • 7:30am Meet at the MLK Middle School Baseball Diamond Ready to Run;
  • 9:00am Practice Ends.

Known Schedule Changes to be Aware Of:

  • On the Day of a Competitions (Wednesday/Saturday) the meet up time/place will vary depending on the particular circumstances.
  • On the Day before a competition (Tuesday/Friday) Practice may be shorter in length.
  • On School Holidays Practice Times may vary.

Saturday 8:30am to 10:30am at the Strawberry Canyon Fire Trail

SPRING 2019 TRACK & FIELD PRACTICE TIMES, & INFO

PRACTICE START TIMES – WEEKDAYS

All Athletes – Locker Rooms Open at 4:45pm; Be ready for the workout by 5:00pm when locker rooms close

Distance Runners – By 5:00pm meet by the locker room to begin the workout or run

Sprinters, Hurdlers, Horizontal Jumpers, Throwers – Begin the standard warm up at 5:00pm

Pole Vaulters  – On Monday, Wednesday, & Friday meet by the Bleachers storage entrance at 3:45pm otherwise follow the jumper schedule.

High Jumpers  – On Tuesdays & Thursdays meet by the Bleachers storage entrance at 3:45pm otherwise follow the jumper schedule.

PRACTICE END TIMES – WEEKDAYS

All Athletes – Release times is generally 6:15 to 6:30pm with the below exceptions. Any Athlete needing to leave before 6:30 must store their gear under the stands that day  so they can depart on time, as Coaches are not able to stop practice in order to go open locker rooms.

Pool & Weightlifting – From 6:30 to 7:30 athletes will have pool and/or weightlifting. Currently our team lifting days are Tuesday and Thursday with Pool Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. The coaches expect to adjust the schedule in March 2019

Practice Start Times – Weekdays

Wednesdays – On certain Wednesdays various athletes will be release at 7:30pm due to Pool Workouts, Distance Runners will normally be in the pool, all other athletes should check their email as it will vary week to week.

Thursdays- Distance & Throwers will be release at 7:30pm due to Weight lifting
