Practice Times

 

Fall 2018 – Cross Country PRACTICE TIMES

Competitions during the fall will be primarily on WednesdaysThursdays and Saturdays. Our primary hard workout days this season will be Monday, Thursday, and Saturday; athletes should absolutely avoid missing practice on these days. If there is a routine conflict with practice please try to schedule it for a Wednesday or a Friday.

Schedule Once School Begins

Monday – 4:45pm-6:15pm  at the BHS Locker rooms

Tuesday – 4:45pm-7:30pm (weightlifting post run) at the BHS Locker rooms

Wednesday – 4:45pm-6:15pm at the BHS Locker rooms

Thursday – 4:45pm-7:30pm (weightlifting post run) at the BHS Locker rooms

Friday – 4:45pm-6:15pm at the BHS Locker rooms

Saturday – 8:00am – 11:00am (pool workout post run) Meet at the BHS Locker rooms

Please note practice time will vary on school holidays.

 

Schedule Prior to the First Day of School 

Monday – 5:15pm-7:30pm  (pool post run) at the BHS Locker rooms

Tuesday – 5:15pm-7:30pm (weightlifting post run) at the BHS Locker rooms

Wednesday – 5:15pm-7:30pm (pool post run) at the BHS Locker rooms

Thursday – 5:15pm-7:30pm (weightlifting post run) at the BHS Locker rooms

Friday – 5:15pm-7:30pm (pool post run) at the BHS Locker rooms

Saturday – 8:00am – 11:00am Meet at the BHS Locker rooms

Competition Days

Departure Times will vary check your email

Practice Start Times – Weekdays

All Athletes – Locker Rooms Open at 4:45pm; Be ready for the workout by 5:00pm

Distance Runners – By 5:00pm begin the workouts noted on the workout calendar posted here

Sprinters, Hurdlers, Jumpers, Throwers – Begin the standard warm up at 5:00pm

Pole Vaulters  – On Monday, Wednesday, & Friday meet by the Bleachers storage entrance at 3:45pm otherwise follow the jumper schedule.

PRACTICE End TIMES – Weekdays

All Athletes – Release times is generally 6:30pm with the below exceptions. Any Athlete needing to leave before 6:30 must store their gear under the stands that day  so they can depart on time, as Coaches are not able to stop practice in order to go open locker rooms.

Mondays – On certain Mondays various athletes will be release at 7:30pm due to Pool Workouts,  this day will normally be for jumpers  but all  athletes should check their email as it will vary week to week.

Tuesdays – Sprinters, Hurdlers, Jumpers & Throwers will be release at 7:30pm due to Weight lifting

Wednesdays – On certain Wednesdays various athletes will be release at 7:30pm due to Pool Workouts, Distance Runners will normally be in the pool, all other athletes should check their email as it will vary week to week.

Thursdays- Distance & Throwers will be release at 7:30pm due to Weight lifting

JUMPS

Long Jump – Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
Triple Jump – Monday Thursday, Saturday
High Jump – Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Pole Vault – Monday, Wednesday and Friday (beginning at 3:45pm)

THROWS

Shot Put –  Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
Discus –  Monday Thursday, Saturday

HURDLES

High Hurdles (100m/110m) – Tuesday, Friday
Low Hurdles (300m) – Wednesday
